Victoria: Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, it is illegal to supply alcohol to anyone under 18 years of age. Penalties for supplying alcohol to minors can exceed $19,000, and persons under 18 who purchase or receive alcohol may face fines over $5,800. New South Wales: The Liquor Act 2007 prohibits the sale or supply of alcohol to persons under 18, and also forbids obtaining alcohol on their behalf. Western Australia: According to the Liquor Control Act 1988, it is an offence to sell or supply liquor to individuals under 18 on licensed or regulated premises, and for those under 18 to attempt to purchase liquor there. South Australia: The Liquor Licensing Act 1997 forbids supplying liquor to anyone under the age of 18. Queensland: Under the Liquor Act 1992, supplying liquor to minors is illegal. Tasmania: The Liquor Licensing Act 1990 makes it an offence to deliver liquor to persons under 18, with fines up to 20 penalty units, and prohibits persons under 18 from purchasing liquor, with fines up to 10 penalty units.
